Google to release m-payment service
Google is reportedly planning to roll out a mobile payment system on 26 May 2011, in a bid to enable consumers to pay at checkout by using their mobile phones, media outlet reuters.com reports.
According to the source, the upcoming m-payment service is expected to be available for Android-powered mobile phones from Sprint Nextel, a US provider of wireless and wireline communication services.
Ariba launches e-Archive service powered by Logica
US provider of collaborative business commerce solutions Ariba has joined forces with Logica, a global business and technology company, to deliver an e-archive service that enables organisations to automatically store and manage electronic invoices.
The Ariba e-Archive service is set to be delivered as part of the Ariba Invoice Management suite, as an optional cloud-based offering powered by Logica. The service is expected to work for short or long-term digital archiving and on-line retrieval of e-invoices and associated documents, such as e-signatures and digital certificates.
